I finally made it around the World! It was a long trip, but definitely fun. My trip started in Dover and went to the following places: Washington, Alaska, Japan, Thailand, Diego Garcia, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Qatar, Germany, Maine, South Carolina and back to Dover! The good news is I was able to see Rush on the other side :)

Guten Tag
The last stop! Here are a few pictures from Germany. I was so happy to leave Qatar anything would have been great, but Germany is always beautiful in the summer. The hotel is off the beaten path so I went on a nice long walk to see the countryside. The temperature was perfect and all the flowers were blooming.

Afghanistan
It was a really beautiful day to fly. The sky was clear and we could see the mountains really well. These are a few pictures inbound to our first stop in Afghanistan.
Diego Garcia
Wow! I finally made it West! I never thought I would actually get to Diego, but thanks to the Volcanic Ash I did. We landed just before sunset so I didn't get to wander around as much as I wanted, but I did get to see a beautiful sunset and touch the water. Once again, I was in the seat so I had someone else take a few pictures of Diego. The windows in the plane are very scratched, but it's the best I could get. You can see above that Honolulu is only 8,934 miles away...so close to home!

Thailand
I know this is a horrible picture and no one can tell it's Thailand, but it was all I could take. I was in the seat for the arrival and departure so I have a picture of the ramp. We were only on the ground for a few hours, but I can now say I have been to Thailand and had real Thai food!

Japan
If you look really hard, you can see Mt. Fuji. Hopefully we can get better pictures later, but for now this is it!

Good times in Delaware
The deployment is finally over! Rush stopped through Delaware to visit and we enjoyed some time with The Weeners. Of course the week went by too quickly, but we had fun!
